Earth Day 2015

Wittingly or not, I'm guilty of waste and committing other acts that are harmful to the environment. I can do a lot better and so can everyone else. We get distracted by society and it's entanglements/ demands. Too often we fail to slow down and appreciate the incredible beauty of this planet. I commend those who truly make it their life's purpose to fight for conservation and all other causes related to preserving the health of our planet.

 I never paid much attention to Earth Day but it hit me today for some reason. I felt a sense of appreciation. I also felt guilty for being so bogged down in my own personal concerns that I can't seem to ever spare even a moments thought for the environment. A piece of art was the very least I could do for today. Being a child of the 90s and a cartoon geek, I had to draw Captain Planet. This was a quick, genuinely inspired drawing and I'm pretty happy with it.
