Robert Armetta Workshop

I participated in an incredible figure drawing workshop with classical realist Robert Armetta yesterday. Robert is an amazingly talented and knowledgeable artist. He is also an excellent teacher. Robert works in a style quite distant from my own that on first glance made me feel like I shouldn't even bother drawing or painting anymore, haha. Then Robert began to teach the group and he was so extremely approachable, informative and encouraging that I had a blast and felt confident in my work. He had nice things to say about my drawing and offered excellent advice on improving it. I may try and get into one of his classes here on Long Island, have to check the price and schedule. It is invaluable to have one on one access to a teacher this talented and knowledgeable, you can improve by quantum leaps and bounds under such direction. This workshop definitely awoke an interest in me in exploring more classical fine art approaches to drawing and painting.
