Random doodles and Art Boot Camp...
Just clearin' out some of the randomness I had scanned onto my computer a little while back. I hope you enjoy them!
In other news, I laid out a plan today I am calling "Art Boot Camp". Basically I made a schedule for myself to make sure that a certain portion of my day is spent focusing on a particular aspect of art that I need to work on, which is basically every aspect you can imagine and more. The purpose of the plan is to push myself to draw things and work with techniques that I am not comfortable with and better round out my skills. Key areas I really want to work on, to give you an idea, are: perspective, light and shadow, color, digital art and the female form. Notice nearly all of these elements are absent from the drawings featured in this post, hence the need for Art Boot Camp. I'll post any progress here of course!

Tom,
This is the greatest idea ever! I really need to do this! I have gotten so out of the habit of drawing, I swear I am losing some of my ability... let me know how it works, I may need to get some tips from you and make a boot camp for myself.
Hey man, yeah I felt the need to push myself and figured making some kind of rough schedule for art production might help. Basically, I made a list of all the elements of art/drawing I feel I really need to work on. I took each subject and gave it a day of the week. Like Tuesday is Perspective day in my personal boot camp. So, Tuesday I study perspective for at least an hour or whatever I can realistically do. We'll see how it turns out, I'll post notes on the 'ol blog. Thanks for visiting, great to see you back on the blogosphere!
