Big Apple Con 2009 (art featured in this post by Eric Canete and Joe Madureira)
Wow, I got to meet Eric Canete and Joe Madureira this weekend at Big Apple Comic Con. Both were gracious enough to do these quick sketches for me. Skeletor above is by Mr. Canete, Garrison below is by Mr. Madureira. Both of these guys are giants in my view of the art world. They were both super cool guys too.
Overall, Big Apple Con was fun. There were lots of good deals on books and collectibles. Artists Alley was pretty sweet. I had a great time just immersing myself in all the crazy geekdom with my bro. I'm looking forward to New York Comic Con next year!!
