THE GRUNCHER!!! OK, so here are some sketches I did based on the arbitrarily chosen name "The Gruncher". When I said this name to myself I immediately pictured huge dripping jaws. So, that's one element that exists in both of my versions of The Gruncher. The first two sketches in this post show basically the same version of The Gruncher, just in different settings. The third sketch is a bit of a different take. I see The Gruncher in the first two sketches as a nightmare/fairytale creature that mothers tell their children about to keep them from wondering off into the woods after dark. The other version of the Gruncher is more of monstrous warrior, a deadly challenge for a young foolish knight.

Anyway, it was a lot of fun doing sketches based on this character name. I would love to do this again. I can't wait to see what my fellow bloggers come up with!

Thanks for checkin' it out. If you come up with your own rendition feel free to comment on this post with a link to your piece!

Thanks, Joe! This was a really f challenge. We can always fall back on this idea, come up with some other names and see what happens. Your rendition of The Gruncher is freakin' awesome!

Hey, really nice version of the Gruncher! I really like the way you went with it. Oddly, some of your thought process was a little like mine, ha ha.

I'll post mine as soon as possible.

Tom, don't take this the wrong way... but sometimes I hate viewing your blog! Not because it is bad or anything, but because your sketches make me feel an inadequacy as an artist... You amaze me so very much and it is a pleasure to view your artwork sir!
PS I have some gruncher pics up!
