TGIFF! Some Random Sketches and stuff... The double "FF" in "TGIFF" stands for Food Fight today as our wonderful web comic has updated. My buds and I have started a Food Fight blog so you can catch a link to the latest strip there. This stuff is not all ages so I don't want to post links directly on this blog. Here's a link to the Food Fight blog, http://foodfightcomic.blogspot.com/. You can keep up to date on the strip if you visit there. Strip updates every Friday!

Aside from this bit of news, I wanted to post some sketches I did last weekend. I was watching some scenes from the classic Anime, "Akira", and blurted out this sloppy, inaccurate rendition of Tetsuo (above). I kinda dug it, so here it is. Akira is one of my favorite films, animated or not, though primarily in a visual sense. I've always found the story a bit confusing and the pacing somewhat off. However, there are very cool characters, action sequences, animation and design. This movie blew me away as a kid. I think me and my friends were always fascinated by the awesome power some of the characters displayed and by the shock value of the animated violence. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. To this day I really dig the film and it offers a lot of artistic inspiration!!

The rest of these sketches are kind of "Wolvie Week" stragglers. The same night I was checking out "Akira" I popped in "Hulk Vs. Wolverine" again, so these sketches were inevitable. Wow, I'm a geek.

Thanks for dropping by!

Great stuff. Cracked up at the flowers in the last Wolvie post. I watched Wolverine v Hulk for the first time this week. Then I watched it 3 more times, loved it! I'm just happy I screened it before I let my 3 yr old check it out. Don't want to scar the kid for life.
I'll have to check out FF later, can't wait to take a look.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Joe! Haha, glad you found the humor in the Wolvie with the flowers.

I loved Hulk Vs. Wolvie too, it was a big inspiration for all my recent Wolverine sketches. Good idea holding off on showing Hulk Vs. Wolvie to your 3 year old, wait until he's at least 4! Kidding of course, thanks for dropping by!
