Random...
Just dumping some random sketches I'd scanned onto my computer a little while back. Fun, random experiments all.
Anyway, aside from my own crud, I wanted to post some links to some artists I have really been diggin' lately...I may have mentioned them before but whatever:
Eric Canete (http://kahnehteh.blogspot.com/) This guy is just awesome. I love the energy in his work and his style of inking in particular really blows me away. I see a lot of thought in all of his pieces in regards to composition, angle, body language, expression, and the relationship between subjects. He works in both comics and animation and appears to be quite excellent at doing both.
Keron Grant (http://www.kerongrant.net/) I know I have mentioned Keron before, he is one of my old favorites. He's always pushing his art, experimenting and banging out stunning images. If I am ever lacking inspiration to draw, all I need to do is stop by his website or crack open one of his artbooks and I am good to go.
William Wray (http://williamwray.com/, http://williamwray.blogspot.com/) A bit different from the guys above. I got into Bill Wray's work through his comics and animation stuff and then fell in love with his landscape paintings once he decided to focus more on that aspect of his art. I have come to love landscape paintings, particularly the more stylized/impressionistic type. I hope to experiment more with the art form myself. Maybe I'll get a chance to share some stuff on here if it's worth showing and not totally embarrassing. Anyway, I love William's landscapes. His subjects are interesting and his painting technique is really pleasing, check it out!
OK, now that you've looked at some masterful, kick-ass artists you can quickly come down off that high and take a gander at my humble scribbles...
