Recommended reading...I just finished reading a wonderful graphic novel, "Three Shadows" by Cyril Pedrosa and was inspired to mention it here.

My brother actually picked this book at random off of a display in Barnes and Noble because he liked the cover. I flipped through it and decided I had to buy it...very glad I did.

The artwork is what grabbed me right off the bat. Mr. Pedrosa is a brilliant artist. He worked for Disney according to the brief bio featured on the book jacket, not too shabby! His drawings have a great sense of gesture, energy, and movement, all without ever being too busy or containing pointless detail.

The book is worth owning for the artwork alone, but the story is very enjoyable as well. It is a simple fable with interesting characters, fantastic adventure, and a moving message. Good stuff!
