BONTEBOK COMICS #2 COMIN' ATTCHA!!!! New York Comic Con 2008 is fast approaching (www.newyorkcomiccon.com), so I figured it is about time to start sharing some images related to the book my buddy Jon Wood and I are putting together for the show. Jon and I work together under the company name Bontebok Design (www.bontebokdesign.com) and last year we produced an all original, full-color, comic book called Bontebok Comics #1 which we displayed and sold at New York Comic Con 2007. We had our own table and everything, it was one of the coolest weekends of my life.

So, this year we are doing it all over again and we have stepped our game up significantly! The new book is bigger, better, and awesomer than book #1 for sure. It's going to be filled to the brim with exciting stories, some in a similar style to the first book, others in new experimental mediums, and exciting bonus material. We enlisted the aid of some incredible talents to provide some bonus pin-ups for the book too that I am so incredibly psyched about! Anyway, more info on the book and where we can be found at NYCC to come in future posts. For now enjoy some of these prelim drawings and finished pencils from the book!
Above: Prelim layout for page 1 of our brand new Mutant Lunatic story continuing the epic tale that started it all in Bontebok Comics #1!

Above: Pencils for a promotional image of Minot the Robot we will be using to decorate our booth at the show!

Above: Pencils for the title page image to Doot The Organism's second adventure!
I know this isn't a ton of preview stuff, I will post more as we get closer and closer to the show.
On a side note, we will have copies of Bontebok Comics #1 at the show too. We are also open to any internet orders from people who may be interested in the books but can't make the show, so if you want some books do not hesitate to e-mail me.
Oh, and the image at the top of the post is a prelim for a promotional image of Mutant Lunatic.
Thanks as always for dropping by, hope you enjoy the scribbles!
All characters, names, likenesses, concepts, are copyright Jon Wood and Tom Travers, please don't swipe!

Nice looking new stuff! The next comic looks like it'll be a good one. I like the new Minot a lot, he's a cool little bugger.
