Long post after a long journey...

So, I've actually been home for about two weeks now after a long vacation that took me across the country and back and then to upstate New York for another full week. The news of Mike Wieringo's death and other things going on right now had taken the steam out of me and I've finally got my inspiration back to get this post up.
My trip was incredible. My brother and I took Amtrak all the way from New York to Portland, Oregon where we met up with my good buddy from home who moved out there. The train ride out was really cool, though sleeping on the train was awful. Oregon was a cool little city with great music shops and beer! From Oregon we road tripped down the west coast through California until reaching San Diego for Comic Con 2007. There were many great sites and fun happenings along the way, the California coast was breathtaking.
San Diego was an amazing highlight of the trip. It's a great city and the convention was incredible! I blew tons of money on sketchbooks from my favorite artists and chatted it up with whoever I could. Below are a few of the great sketches I got at the show.
Earthwork Jim (above) by his creator the super talented Doug Tennapel! http://www.tennapel.com/
The Tick (above) by the incredible Cory Walker! http://corenthal.blogspot.com/

Below are a few of my sketches since I haven't put anything fresh up in a while, hope you like them...
