Slim pickins, new approach...
I just scanned in a bunch of sketches but rather than dump them all here right in this one post I am going to stretch them out a bit. Scanning is time consuming so I am going to space my postings of this stock of sketches out. I will post more often but with fewer images. I think this will make the posts less cluttered too, which I think has been a problem.
I want to recommend a book. It's been around for a little while now but I just want to say here how much I enjoyed it and the whole concept it is based on... Drink and Draw Social Club Volume 1 collects artwork from some incredible artists all completed in bars where the artists gather and slug down some brew. I found out about Drink and Draw and the book through my being a Dave Johnson fan. He's incredible, http://www.devilpig.com/, and so are the other artists featured in this book. The book is a visual treat and the commentary offered by the artists throughout is hilarious. You really feel while reading that you are hanging out with these guys. I would love to participate in a Long Island or New York Drink and Draw. I'll have to keep my eye out for an opportunity. Buy this book and check out the Drink and Draw Social Club on myspace, http://www.myspace.com/drinkanddraw. Search the book on Amazon, they have a good price.
