Workin' all day-ay... Here's a quick Venom sketch I just scrawled out a little while ago. I did a Venom drawing for a friend this weekend and I can't seem to stop sketching him in my spare moments. Venom was one of my favorite characters when I was a kid, still is to be honest, oddly enough I didn't draw him too often.

Moving on...I've had a few good nights out with friends this weekend and spent my days drawing! I am working on two comics stories right now, both done in pretty different styles. One story is written by a buddy of mine, see his comics space page here (http://www.comicspace.com/danphillips/). I am doing the work traditionally with no computer, something I haven't attempted for finished comics work in a good while. I am working in a loose style with some blacks slapped around all over the place. It's fun to be rougher and not so precious with the panels, I think the stuff is coming along pretty nice.

The other thing I am working on right now is the second issue of Bontebok Comics! (www.bontebokdesign.com) My buddy Jon Wood and I are going to pull out all the stops and make sure this book blows the first one away. We have a clearer vision and style this go around, I'm excited about it! We're continuing the stories that began in the first issue and introducing a few new characters. We're doing a sketchbook again too, and probably a bunch more fun stuff so we have plenty of things to show and sell at next year's New York Comic Con. Copies of Bontebok Comics #1 are still available, very few though. Contact me if you want one, you get a sketch and sketchbook with the book, bagged and borded, all for $3! (add $2 for shipping, come on, that aint bad!)
Above is a pencil rough of a panel that will appear in Bontebok Comics #2 within the second Doot The Organism story! That's Doot in the background looking through those odd sharp bushes.

Above and below are from the story I am working on with Dan Phillips. Above is a finished panel. Below is a rough for a panel I hope to finish tonight.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!

Hey man, sorry for kinda disapearing for a while. Awesome new stuff by the way. Really good Venom too, I like that a lot. I seen a lot of Venoms, but I think yours is one of the better versions.
