Holidays have passed... I thought it was about time I knocked that Happy New Year post out of the top spot. So, here are a few quick, cartoony doodles. I'm totally into cartoony artists and animation these days so I can't help but let that direct my drawing a little bit. It's tons of fun because it's all about character and energy which is whay I basically look for in all art, be it photo-realism or off the wall cartooning.

These drawings below are really about using shapes. That is what I set out to do with these doodles, just give each form a clear shape. Nowhere near perfect or achieving my ultimate goal but fun.

February and New York Comic Con are drawing ever-nearer so most of my drawing time is devoted to getting work done for the book my friend and I plan to debut at the show.
