Fresh Scribbles and some Bontebok comic stuff...

It's been a while since I posted a healthy chunk of sketches here. It's been tough to find the time as my friend Jon and I are working very hard in all of our free time on finishing our comic (www.bontebokdesign.com). I actually had a lot more sketches to share but I figure I will save them and share some pencils form the comic instead. Below are some panels from stories in the book, complete with my little notes for Jon. The strange looking character in the first panel is Hugo, he's a toy maker and he's hard at work on one of our other characters, Minot the Robot. The final two panels depict our wannabe-hero Captain Stupendous. Again, if anyone is interested in checking out the book please contact me.

On another note, if you get a chance check out this cool little presentation on J.C. Leyendecker. It has some nice photos and information I haden't seen or heard before. Also, some very nice Leyendecker pieces are displayed, that's always a good thing. Head over to http://www.hagginmuseum.org/ and click on exhibitions, go to the Leyendecker show and there should be a link a little ways down the page on the right to the presentation. I can't wait for this exhibition to reach the New York area!
Thanks for dropping by, I hope you like the random doodles and the panels from the comic. More detailed info on the comic and Comic Con New York 2007 soon.
