Above are more random doodles I bang out very quickly between working on pages for the Bontebok Design (www.bontebokdesign.com) sampler comic and other projects where more finished, thoughtful work is required. This is the totally fun stuff done on the fly, I think this gives the drawings a certain energy that I like.Below are examples of me messing with some watercolor, dangerous to attempt such things, but fun. The image with no watercolor is just a random sketch, supposed to be two guys on a train, one is playing a gameboy or psp, something of that nature, not sure what the story for this one is but it's floating around in the back of my mind somewhere.

Finally, I'll toss a book suggestion out there... It's a new book (I think it came out in November) all about the band Gorillaz called "Rise of the Ogre", http://www.gorillaz.com/intro_roto.html. I am a Jamie Hewlett fiend so this book is just a mindblowing joy for me to thumb through. I can't say I like the band's music much, but damn do they have some cool artwork and animation associated with them! The writing in the book is actually very good as well, the fictional stories about the band members are fun to read while enjoying the fantastic illustrations. Put it on your Christmas list, or use whatever holiday you celebrate to get your hands on a copy!
Enjoy the art, check out the book, and thanks for dropping by!

Thanks for dropping by, Alina! The feedback is appreciated.
you gotta love the watercolor...hard yet so rewarding if done right:)
Hey, Chris. Thanks for visiting! Your blog is very cool.
You're totally right about watercolor. It's a challenge but it is a whole lot of fun to mess around with. Speaking of watercolor, I was looking at some Bill Sienkiewicz watercolors today, truly awesome stuff.
