Ok, kids, the Cowboy above (done in MS Paint) goes along with one of the subjects of my post. Let me get right to that. I want to make a film recommendation to my millions and millions of readers...the movie is called "The Proposition", it stars Guy Pearce, among many other talented fellows, and is, in my opinion, one damn excellent film. It's a western set in Australia. It's well written, acted, visually awesome and has a cool soundtrack. Props to Nick Cave and all involved. Rent it ASAP... hell, buy it even.

Below are a few panels from the comic my friend and I are working on together. About time I showed some of these! These are my original panels in pencil and color pencil. The final product will look very different once run through the Bontebok Design process. These are but a few panels from one short story of three that will be featured in our first book, which will be a sampler of sorts where we will debut our original characters and artwork. We plan to exhibit at NY Comic Con 2007. The booth is paid for, so we just need to finish everything in time now! We hope to have the main comic, as well as a sketchbook, t-shirts, stickers and so on, probably for real cheap or free. Just having fun and trying to get a little exposure.

There are no words to describe what waits below these lines of text. Just be thankful he is not anatomically correct...
Thanks for visiting!

That's awesome that your getting a booth. I hoep your turn out is good, I bet it'll go well for ya. Nice new drawings, I like the way you can do things with simple linework. Always nice stuff.

Hey, Shane, thanks for visiting and for the kind words. I hope the comic will be as much fun for the few people that do end up seeing it as it has been for me to make!
