These are some sketches done while flipping through National Geographic Magazine. I like National Geographic becuase each issue has a wide variety of great photos of people and animals, great for doing quick sketches. I wish I could draw from live models more often, I plan on enrolling in a figure drawing class and also taking the time to go to parks or other public places and draw from live people/animals/whatever else. Life drawing is a challenge for me but I enjoy it. It really does teach you things you can't learn from just drawing from memory/imagination.On the fanboy front, I've recently gotten a massive dose of inspiration from looking over the work of master Disney animator Glen Keane. He's famous for creating the visuals for characters like The Beast, Tarzan, Aladdin and supervising their animation for Disney. His drawings are so full of energy, life, and character. He just draws so damn well too. Check out this blog for a lot of his wonderful sketches... http://theartofglenkeane.blogspot.com/
that's it for now, thanks for stopping by and enjoy the sketches!

Thanks for stopping by and for the feedback, Checkmark. I'll be poppin' by your blog soon to see what's going on in your wild comic.
Very nice loose sketches with a good feeling for proportions. Compliments.
Thanks, wout paulussen! The feedback is much appreciated.
I really like these sketches. They are loose, but still maintain a strong sense of detail.
