A little update with a few doodles.
The really rough Hellboy is an early sketch for a pin-up I am working on for the Bontebok Design sketchbook. Check some of our stuff out at www.bontebokdesign.com
The minimalist Zorro is directly influenced by my having recently read the entire Classic Adventures of Zorro by Alex Toth TPB. I highly recommend it! www.tothfans.com
Other artists I have been really into lately...Sean "Cheeks" Galloway, awesome character designer/cartoonist, check his stuff at http://cheeks-74.deviantart.com/ and http://gotcheeks.blogspot.com/. He has a great animated style charged with energy, excellent coloring skills too.
I've been big into Don Bluth lately too, Dragons Lair, Space Ace, Secret of Nim, incredible stuff. www.donbluth.com

I'll hafta do some site checking but that aside, awesome stuff. That Zoro is great. The simple implied lines just make it amazing.
