A fresh bunch of doodles.

I am currently making my way through the wonderful "Dear John - The Alex Toth Doodle Book". I give it my highest recommendation. The art is wonderful and Alex's letters reveal a lot about him and his views on the world, comics, art, and more. There are certainly more than a few valuable nuggets of wisdom to be found for any artist in these letters by Mr. Toth and endless inspiration to be taken from the accompanying art. I wish there were more collections of Toth's comics and animation work available at regular prices. Most of the great books focusing on his work are rare, out of print, and very expensive. Affordable collections include "One for the Road", "Zorro: The Complete Classic Adventures", and "Dear John - The Alex Toth Doodle Book", check them out. If you've got big bucks to spend, check out ebay and pick up "By Design" or "Alex Toth: Black and White", man I wish I could afford those. Visit www.tothfans.com for more on this amazing artist!
