Welcome to the special "Bic Pen" addition of Tom Travers: Art Beast.

Though not glamorous or sophisticated, Bic pen remains one of my favorite mediums. After years and years of doodling in the margins of my schoolbooks day in and day out it is probably the medium I am most comfortable with and gives me the sketchy spontaneous finish I desire. There are some blue pencil and Micron sketches in this batch too, but most are straight Bic. The entire top sketch page is in Bic.

On another note, my brother and I will be hopping a flight down to North Carolina tomorrow to check out Heroes Con. The guest list is insane for this event. I hope to meet some of my favorite artists and gather some sketches and other cool stuff. Should be a lot of fun. I'll have a full report, hopefully with some cool sketches, when I return.

Hey, that sounds fun man. Cool drawings too, I like the sketchy line style a lot too. I think it gives it a really defined look. Have fun.

Glad to see another Bic fanatic. I did (and still do) the same thing with whatever scrap paper I could find. Bic pens are great for shading, rendering, or simple line sketch art.

Like the sketches, man. Keep up the good work!
